First of all, Apple A1232 Charging cable is made for the Bluetooth Headset which launched together with 1st gen iPhone:
Recently, I’ve got an “prototype” version of this charging cable, and there’s something different that I want share with you.
First, the Model number of this prototype is different from the released one – it’s A1204 instead of A1232. The model number A1204 is what iPod Shuffle 2 used, that’s strange.
Second, the 30-Pin sign on it also got some difference. Release one only have a 30-Pin sign on it but this one have a “Phone” sign which seems like to be the sign of Apple Bluetooth Headset.
Last, it’s metal charge contacts also different with released one. This one got a gilded contact and release one got an rhodium or silver plated contact.
As what the identification card shows, it was made in 2006/12/27.
Keep an eye on this. I’ll post new article after a short test.
